Context: The phrase "My Roman Empire" refers to a September 2023 TikTok trend where women would ask their husbands / boyfriends how often they thought about the Roman Empire, revealing that many men pondered about it surprisingly regularly. |

The trend quickly evolved across TikTok and X, with people using the phrase "this is my Roman Empire" for things that they think about often (ranging from describing life-altering moments or people, venting about past relationship issues, or sharing memorable scenes from movies or TV shows). |
